Today's Reality Check: L.A DriversFact is, everyone in L.A. can recount a couple of horrific experiences of friends or acquaintances that got struck by L.A. drivers. It is that sad. Talking about living on the edge.L.A. is also the number one city in the U.S. of reported hit-and-run crimes.
But how come?
As touched on in previous postings, L.A. is home to some of the most self-centered, ego-centric, (insert favorite word that describes a very, very self-absorbed person here) people. Unfortunately the same kind of people tend to be irrational in life about anything. Wait in line? "What for, I was in the new XX commercial." "Excuse me, I am in the new Selena Gomez video."
Now imagine these people in front of a steering wheel. Pair a big set of insufficient driving skills with an over confident and narcissistic driving behavior. You guessed it. Voila: You have the ultimate worst traffic scenario.
Welcome to my everyday nightmare. Keep you dogs, children and loved ones close, it is dangerous out here.
Riding your bike to work? Suicidal.
Ultimate Survival Guide:
Look panicky in every possible direction of the street. You never know where a car might come from.Pass quickly and wisely.Don't text and walk.
